The Saturday Night Special

On any given Saturday night from 1994-1997, you could witness The Hungarians holding court on stage at Styleen’s Rhythm Palace. The Hungarians were known for playing shows that lasted over three hours straight (with no breaks!), creating a funky, rollicking ritual and ceremony that regularly conjured up a collective body rocking, sweat soaked trance among the faithful.

Here’s just a bit of photographic evidence of a typical night with the original Little Georgie and The Shuffling Hungarians; The greatest recurring three ring circus that ever appeared in Armory Square, Syracuse, NY.
